RESULT: In its current early prototype phase, users have found the site’s navigation intuitive and the overall design captivating. The arm’s hover animations were particularly successful, as they make the site feel alive and responsive.
WHAT: This is a website I designed for the music project Pupil Hands. I wanted the page to have a unique overall layout and navigation tool to stand out and match the experimental approach of the music. My main challenge here was designing a quirky and novel website without sacrificing functionality and user intuition.
HOW: Utilizing my background in character design, I created this multi-limbed character using cut up paper and ink and scanned it into Illustrator. I then sketched out the flow of a typical user experience, along with the loading screen hand animation. Finally, I animated the project in After Effects and sent it to my developer.
